You make a cup once. You wash it a thousand times.
We’ll tend to the technical details so you can give more attention to your business.
A Shopify site needs to be maintained, cleaned, and repaired. Regularly. Shopify introduces new features, changes settings, and the Shopify admin gets cluttered; browsers change, devices change, and customer expectations change.
Our monthly maintenance service includes:
- Unlimited tweaks and fixes to your existing theme — extending out your post-launch support.
- Monthly proactive site review — manually scanning your site code, content, and settings (details below).
- Dedicated availability at the beginning of each month — to make updates and work on long-term projects.
Proactive site review to support performance, brand standards, and compliance
- New Shopify features. Shopify regularly updates the platform. We check to make sure you are up-to-date.
- User experience. There's no better way to test a site than as a visitor and a customer. This is manually reviewing each of the pages of the site using different operating systems, browsers, and device sizes.
- Content formatting. Rich text editors and copy-paste generate a lot of "artifacts" and unnecessary code in product descriptions, page content, and blog posts.
- Structure. When you create and modify products, collections, pages, and posts, the URLs can drift. Tidying helps with SEO, sharing, and just looks nicer.
- Channels (e.g. Shop app, POS, social). Channels are platforms within a platform. They require tending too.
- Apps. Apps need to be reviewed regularly for regulatory compliance, overlap or conflict, expiration, and performance.
- Standard metrics review including SEO and site speed.
- Accessibility. This is for both basic compliance (e.g. making sure images have alt. text, no obvious structural errors) and improved experience for visitors and customers with different impairments and using different assistive devices.
This is what Shopify Plus was supposed to be.
